On Thursday, KT Corp. launched the Genie TV Tab 3, a tablet-type Internet TV device. The Genie TV Tab 3 allows users to watch live channels on KT’s IPTV, VOD replays, Kids Land services, and over-the-top video services. Additionally, it supports web browsing via KT Wi-Fi in the home and can be used as an e-book reader.

The Genie TV Tab series, introduced as Korea’s first tablet-type IPTV terminal, has been upgraded with the new Genie TV Tab 3. The latest model features a larger 11-inch screen and a lighter weight of 480 grams, enhancing user convenience. The device is available in graphite color and is priced at 368,500 won, including VAT.

KT Corp. explained that the Genie TV Tab 3 features an 11-inch screen, which is larger than its predecessor and a lighter weight for improved convenience. The Genie TV Tab series was first introduced in 2021, with the second version released in August last year. The latest model continues to enhance user experience with its upgraded specifications.

Customers can enjoy a variety of content on the Genie TV Tab 3, including KT IPTV services such as real-time channel viewing, VOD replays, and Kids Land. Additionally, it supports OTT video services and internet web surfing via KT Wi-Fi within the home.

The Genie TV Tab 3 is available to existing IPTV subscribers for 8,800 won per month with a three-year commitment to the Genie TV Essence plan. New Samsung Choice, mobile plan subscribers, can purchase the device for 144,000 won per month with a two-year commitment.

Kim Sung-gyun, KT’s Vice President of Business, noted that the tablet-type terminals have been popular since their initial release, and the new model reflects the need for improved screen size and weight. He emphasized KT’s goal to develop devices for continually more convenient content consumption.

The Genie TV Tab 3 is available for purchase and subscription at KT stores nationwide, on the official online mall KT.com, and through customer centers. To celebrate the launch, KT is offering Genie TV coupons worth 10,000 won for customers who sign up for the TV plan between the 4th and 9th of this month.
