Samsung Electronics Co. revealed its new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, a low-cost model of the company’s flagship Galaxy Tab S6 launched August last year. The new tablet PC supports Samsung’s signature smart pen dubbed the “S Pen.”

Samsung increased consumer accessibility by pricing the new device starting at 425,000 won ($350). The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite would be available in South Korea this month. The company already began receiving preorders for the new device in Europe.

“Consumers need a versatile device that can integrate seamlessly into their everyday lifestyle”

-Woncheol Chai, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Strategy Team, Mobile Communication Business at Samsung Electronics.

Woncheol added that Samsung packed the new tablet and its S Pen with the latest technology that would help people capture ideas effortlessly, multitask, and stay organized.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Features

With its refreshed design, the newly designed S Pen is as practical and comfortable to use as a traditional pen. The S Pen is easy-to-use and light weighing only 7.03 grams. Samsung improved the latency of the smart pen to deliver greater precision for drawing and notetaking.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s S pen is also battery-free and magnetically snaps to the side of the new tablet.

The device features a 10.4-inch screen with narrow bezels making for a wide and immersive display. The compact and lightweight tablet comes with the latest version of One UI, Samsung’s own custom user interface.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite contains Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound and dual AKG speakers delivering outstanding immersive audio. Samsung partnered with Spotify and YouTube so users could get more out of their favorite playlists.

Upon purchase, users would enjoy free YouTube Premium for four months, such as ad-free videos, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids.

The tablet PC comes with the new Bixby features and capabilities such as Bixby Routine, Bixby Voice, and Bixby Vision. These features would enhance the users overall productivity and entertainment experiences.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is available in 64 gigabytes and 128 gigabytes in storage capacity. The device also supports up to one terabyte memory expansion through microSD.
