Samsung plans to launch the world’s inaugural ‘AI laptop,’ the Galaxy Book 4, on December 15. With this, the South Korean tech giant aims to precede competitors LG and HP, who are concurrently developing AI laptops employing Intel’s novel Core Ultra chipsets. The unveiling closely follows Intel’s introduction of Meteor Lake processors on December 14, adding an extra layer of anticipation to the technological landscape.

Scheduled for release a month earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy Book 4 Series is anticipated to usher in a new era of powerful laptops, succeeding the Galaxy Book 3 series.

According to Yonhap News, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Book 4 as the first-ever AI-powered laptop, leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence in conjunction with Intel’s Meteor Lake Processors.

The launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 on December 15 is much in the news due to Intel’s Meteor Lake processors incorporating a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to handle diverse AI-related tasks proficiently. The innovation is complemented by Samsung’s large proprietary language model, Samsung Gauss, which synergistically amplifies the laptop’s AI capabilities.

The accelerated release of the Galaxy Book 4 is a part of Samsung’s AI initiative, which is anticipated to extend into the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy AI experience. Beyond smartphones, Samsung aims to extend its AI advancements to premium laptops to compete in the AI-powered computing landscape.

Central to the Galaxy Book 4’s capabilities is the integration of Intel’s Meteor Lake processors, featuring a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) designed to handle diverse AI tasks. Samsung intends to maximize this potential by incorporating its proprietary large language model, Samsung Gauss, promising users rapid computational speeds and enhanced data security. The Galaxy Book 4 series is expected to redefine AI laptops, a leap forward in AI technology.

According to reports, the Galaxy Book 4 series will incorporate the Core Ultra 7 155H chipset, with the higher-tier Galaxy Book 4 Ultra expected to showcase the formidable Core Ultra 9 185H processor. These processors, which depart from the traditional i-series branding, are anticipated to guide in a new era of exceptional performance and efficiency.
