LG StandbyME Go 27LX5 Introduces A Briefcase-Inspired Portable Display

LG has introduced the StandbyME Go 27LX5, its latest innovation in portable entertainment. With a briefcase-like design, the StandbyME Go 27LX5 features a built-in display, speakers, and a battery, creating an all-in-one entertainment machine for indoor and outdoor use.

LG’s StandbyME Go 27LX5 features a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 1920×1080. The portable display is a 27-inch touchscreen with touch functionality, allowing users to interact with media and content effortlessly. Its flexible design enables users to adjust tilt, rotation up to 90 degrees, and height up to 18cm.

Additionally, the display can be used horizontally, vertically, or in flat table mode, offering customized board games and theme skins for a unique gaming experience.

Complementing the display is a set of 20W speakers that adapt to the display’s angle, ensuring optimal sound quality. LG has also confirmed the speakers support Dolby Atmos technology to accompany Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Running on LG’s webOS platform, also used in their televisions, the StandbyME Go 27LX5 allows users to easily stream content from their iOS or Android devices using AirPlay and screen mirroring.

Additionally, an HDMI port is provided for connectivity via a cable. The display features voice recognition support for added convenience, allowing for hands-free operation and easy control.

Reportedly, the StandbyME Go has successfully undergone and passed 11 rigorous durability tests conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). These military-grade tests guarantee its resilience in challenging environments, such as low pressure, high and low temperatures, dust, vibration, salt spray, shocks, and drops. Furthermore, the display turns on or off when the case lid is opened or closed.

The wireless display is equipped with an integrated battery, offering users up to three hours of usage without requiring an external power source.

Additionally, the case of the StandbyME Go serves a dual purpose by safeguarding the display and serving as a storage space for the remote control and power cable, ensuring all essential components are conveniently organized together.

LG Electronics plans to release the highly anticipated LG StandbyME Go for online and offline sales in the first week of June. This innovative portable display will be available at 1.17 million won, allowing tech enthusiasts to experience its unique features and capabilities.
