NAVER’s ZEPETO Avatars to Get Smarter with Integration of Google’s PaLM 2

NAVER Z, the operator of the virtual world platform ZEPETO, has announced plans to expand the use of ZEPETO avatars beyond its platform by integrating them with Google’s latest language model PaLM 2. This groundbreaking milestone will enable users to express themselves more effectively and communicate through avatars, enhancing the overall user experience and making the ZEPETO platform more interactive, engaging, and inclusive.

In addition, NAVER Z has made it easier for developers and businesses to use the ZEPETO Avatar SDK by providing access to the company’s Support Center. The company also plans to launch a dedicated API public site in the coming months, providing convenient access to ZEPETO’s avatars and enabling seamless integration into various applications.

The partnership between NAVER Z and Google has generated enthusiasm from developers and businesses alike. “The possibilities of combining advanced large language models and avatars are infinite, and we are excited to be a part of it,” said Ricky Kang, the Global Head of Business at NAVER Z. “We are exploring various ways we can support user expression and creativity on and off our platform, including avatar services powered by large language models (LLM).”

Google’s PaLM 2 is a cutting-edge large language model that is designed to understand and generate natural language. The integration of ZEPETO’s avatars with PaLM 2 is a significant step towards creating more realistic, interactive, and personalized avatars in the metaverse.

By expanding the use of ZEPETO avatars, NAVER Z aims to enhance user experience and provide a more personalized communication experience. This move represents a major step in the evolution of the virtual world and the integration of avatars and advanced language models. The partnership between NAVER Z and Google has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with avatars and AI characters, making conversations and interactions with them more natural and seamless.
