Samsung Electronics Co. announced that it had officially released the Samsung Internet 15.0’s beta version. Samsung Internet users could now download the upgraded web browser on the Galaxy Store of Google Play Store.

Moreover, the company equipped Samsung Internet 15.0 with new features especially optimized for making user experience easier and protecting user data using improved privacy technologies.

Offering Smart Protection Against Trackers

One of the new features Samsung Internet 15.0 beta offers is protection against fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is an invasive online tracking method that records users’ network activities, software and hardware devices, operating systems, and more.

Thanks to the enhanced web browser, Samsung offers advanced anti-tracking technologies, ensuring that user data remains confidential. Samsung Internet 15.0 also enables users to delete data stored on their gadgets, providing detailed information on what to remove.

The web browser also introduced the newly updated Secret mode. Once users switch on Secret mode, the browser would automatically stay in Secret mode as default. This measure would then remove extra steps in activating Secret mode, allowing users to save time.

Offering Speedy Search and Navigation

Furthermore, the Samsung Internet 15.0 beta version presented an upgraded intuitive search box. The new widget allows users to access information from the home screen more efficiently, delivering easier, faster, and simpler operations.

Additionally, Samsung’s updated web browser temporarily keeps previously opened web pages, enabling users to fetch them again instantly without reloading. Aside from providing fast website access, the update minimizes data usage.

Providing Best Mobile Experiences

“Samsung Internet 15.0 beta offers the best of both worlds with simple tools that help users browse faster while maintaining control over their personal data,” said Du Kim, Head of Samsung Electronics Mobile Communications Web R&D Group.

Besides enabling users to browse without disturbances, Samsung Internet 15.0 gives them full visibility and control over their information.

The company official also shared that Samsung actively puts hard work into giving users the best possible mobile experiences. What’s more, Samsung aims to continuously develop advanced privacy-optimized features, measures, and technologies, keeping users’ personal data safe and private.

After the beta testing duration, Samsung will officially launch Samsung Internet 15.0 sometime this year. Samsung Internet users would also receive notifications upon the new web browser’s release.
