YCONS Lab Ltd., a Korean startup, created an exclusive app that could help students utilize their lunch breaks or cafeteria times wisely. The unique app called “Yammi” would save a lot of time when going to the cafeteria to get food or refreshments. The Yammi app would help students pre-order their meals and snacks before going to the cafeteria during their breaks. Since most schools have the same lunch hours, the app would enable them to avoid crowded cafeterias and long queues.

Yammi Food Reservation App

Derived from the English word “Yummy,” which means delicious food, Yammi aims to help users achieve a stress-free experience when ordering meals.

Through the easy-to-use Yammi app, customers could schedule when they want to have a breaktime, reserve a restaurant space, look at menus, and order meals. Users could also order their food in advance, allowing them to enjoy their meals on time.

Yammi features a user-friendly interface that also displays the cooking time for each menu and provides notifications for completed orders. The app accepts users’ payments for single-user and multiple-user order. Yammi also offers a Dutch payment service where a user could pay only his share for the entire meal.

The Yammi App currently operates in 408 universities in South Korea, helping over 3.5 million students to overcome the dilemma of getting their meals on time. YCONS aims for students to take back wasted time queueing and provide valuable mealtimes between classes.

Solving Real-Life Problems

Established in 2018, YCONS Lab Ltd. aims to provide solutions that would improve real-life problems through AI, big data, and blockchain-based technologies. Through the EMBA Action Learning Project of Yonsei University Graduate School of Business Administration, YCONS began as a startup founded by experts in technology and engineering.

YCONS Lab entered into a strategic partnership with Yonsei University Life Cooperative Association to jointly handle various consumer life and welfare projects for members. The startup intends to magnify its unique service to more domestic universities, local governments, commercial areas, companies, and overseas schools.
