Samsung Electronics will reveal the 11th edition in the Galaxy S series flagship phones alongside their second foldable smartphone model at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on February 11 in San Francisco, the South Korean conglomerate said on Sunday.

The tech giant sent out an invitation to international media, developers, and partner companies stating that the company will unveil their new and innovative devices that could shape the mobile experiences of consumers for the next decade.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at the San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts at 11 a.m. (local time).

Industry officials expect the company to name the sequel of the flagship Galaxy S10 as the Galaxy S20 marking the year 2020. The unveiling of the Galaxy S20 will come in three types starting from the S20 with a 6.2-inch display, S20 Plus with a 6.7-inch display, and finally, the S20 ultra with the widest 6.9-inch display.

The new flagship’s camera is rumored to possess a 108-megapixel camera, with pictures and renders of the new device suggesting five image sensors located on the rear. The primary camera sensor will come with 5x optical zoom support.

Also, to debut on February 11, along with the latest Galaxy S series is the new foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold 2. The new device is the second version of the original foldable smartphone, which became popular internationally after its launch last year.

The company released the first Galaxy Fold on September 6 in Korea and a month later in the United Kingdom, France, and other countries. The device enjoyed a warm welcome from consumers worldwide as it offers a new user experience with its wide foldable screen.

In October last year, Samsung gave a sneak peek of the new Galaxy Fold 2 during an annual developer conference. The model features a longer body but folds into a clamshell shape that can easily fit into a pocket. The tech company, however, did not announce a release date until now.
