The government also plans to expand fuel cells for power generation to more than 15GW (including 7GW of export) by 2040. Fuel cells for homes and buildings will be supplied by 2.1GW (amount for about 940,000 households) by 2040. The supply of hydrogen will be expanded from 130,000 tons in 2018 to more than 5.26 million tons in 2040.
