Naver Corp. Introduces AI-Driven Hotel Recommendations with “For You” Beta Service

South Korea’s prominent web portal company, Naver Corp., has ventured into artificial intelligence (AI)-driven hotel recommendations by launching a beta service called “For You.”

The new feature enriches Naver’s travel product section, which spans five distinct categories: airfare, hotels, tickets and tour packages, events and benefits, and the freshly introduced For You.

The For You beta service employs advanced AI technology to offer personalized hotel recommendations to users, enhancing their travel planning and accommodation choices.

The “For You” service employs a personalized approach, leveraging the user’s historical behaviors to offer individualized hotel suggestions. It taps into statistical analyses to deliver precise hotel recommendations.

These advanced recommendations are made possible through Naver’s AI platform, Clova, integrating deep learning algorithms and collaborative filtering machine learning technology to categorize users by their interests, thereby providing sophisticated and tailored proposals.

This service aims to enhance the user experience and streamline the hotel selection process, adding value to Naver’s travel product suite.

The AI-driven recommendation system implemented by “For You” employs a comprehensive approach to identifying the hotels most relevant to the user. It considers hotels viewed by the user, those generating high user interest in the past six hours, recent reservations completed within seven days, and properties receiving a notable number of clicks relative to their exposure.
