Samsung Electronics Co. officially announced the release date of their new Galaxy S21 smartphone lineup. Samsung will launch three Galaxy flagship phones, which include the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra.

The world’s largest smartphone manufacturer will globally present their latest Galaxy S21 smartphone lineup on January 14. Samsung gave out a video invitation for the release with the tagline, “Welcome to the Everyday Epic.” The Galaxy Unpacked online presentation will commence at 10:00 a.m. EST on Samsung Newsroom.

“Over the past year, mobile technology has taken center stage in everyday life as people are working remotely and spending more time at home,” Samsung stated. “The accelerated transition to a mobile-first world brings with it the need for devices that can transform everyday life into an extraordinary experience.”

The South Korean tech company has been holding previous releases of new models in mid-February. This year, they decided to have the release earlier to address market conditions. The three Galaxy S21 models will be available for purchase on January 29.

Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 lineup provides an improved camera system and is available in four color options. The Galaxy S21 will come with a screen dimension of 6.2 inches, S21 with 6.7 inches, and S21 Ultra with 6.8 inches. The US releases are equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset, while outside variants are furnished with Samsung’s Exynos 2100 processor.

In terms of battery capacity, some reports said the S21 and S21 Plus will have 4,000 and 4,800 mAh, respectively. Samsung will supply 5G modems to the two models. The camera module design for S21 and S21 Plus remains unchanged from last year’s non-Ultra Galaxy S20 lineup. Their cameras will feature a 12-megapixel rear sensor, which renders a 79-degree field of view and an f/1.8 aperture.

Both the S21 and S21 Plus are set to provide up to 8K/30p of video recording capacity. S21 Ultra includes the S-Pen stylus, a device previously employed exclusively in the Galaxy Note series. It will also offer a curved display and an enhanced camera.

The multinational electronics company is yet to confirm the full prices and final specifications.
