Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (GCCEI – Director Kim Won-kyung, hereinafter referred to as “Gyeonggi Innovation Center”) hosted the 16th Startup 815 IR at the Pangyo Techno Valley’s Pangyo Startup Zone on September 21.
“Startup 815 IR” is an IR (Investor Relations) program held every Thursday at the Pangyo Startup Zone in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam City. It is organized by Gyeonggi Innovation Center, the operating agency of Pangyo Startup Zone, and it aims to discover startup companies seeking investment and connect them with potential investors.
The event was hosted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Small and Medium Business Administration and co-hosted by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, Advanced Institutes of Convergence Technology, and the Korea Invention Promotion Association.
First, the TIPS (Technology Innovation Program Support) program was operated as an IR (Investor Relations) event to match would-be companies with TIPS operating companies. Companies wishing to participate in the TIPS program, including Toff Mobility (air passenger service and electric aircraft charging service using electric aircraft), UPTEMPO GLOBAL (cross-border IT solutions without language barriers – MSP & SaaS), WeBareSoft (cloud-based high-efficiency domestic APIM and SaaS platform), and KZone (online return management platform), made presentations. Six TIPS operating companies also participated in the event.
In the track operated by the Advanced Institutes of Convergence Technology, four companies participated: GEOGRID (smart building small-scale water purification plant and monitoring system), Bowing (reward advertising application using voice recognition), Divine Technology (autonomous driving technology verification/testing and CAE analysis), and Hills Robotics (artificial intelligence autonomous driving body and operating software).
Furthermore, in the track operated by the Korea Invention Promotion Association, IP-based startups participated. The participating companies included DEEGO Labs (PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) recovery solution using artificial intelligence), Incurix (innovative new drug for cancer treatment through direct inhibition of transcription factors), Epharm Healthcare (AI data-based prescription smart order red medicine service), and Chungcheong (unmanned road safety facility construction equipment).
A representative from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center stated, “Through the Union IR, we will strive to discover outstanding startups with exceptional potential and expand the support for target stages, aiming to maximize their achievements.”
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center supports the establishment of tailored investor networks for different fields and growth stages through regular IR events. This is aimed at promoting the stable growth of startup companies and creating practical investment opportunities.
