Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (hereinafter referred to as GBSA, President Kang Sung-cheon) held “Pan-gyo x Japan: Bridging Innovation”, an online meeting between overseas VC companies and the startup companies in Pangyo, on October 26.
This event is one of GBSA’s support programs to help startup companies enter the global market. After Silicon Valley in September and Singapore in October, executives from Japanese VC companies and startup companies in Pangyo participated together for their IR presentation and mentoring session.
Three companies in total: EKLEER (CEO Jeong Yoon-ji), a developer of portable IoT displays for laptops and mobile phones, Pixelro (CEO Kang Seok-myeong), a developer of self-diagnosis devices and AI solutions for eye health, and HyperEZ (CEOs Yoon Sang-seok and Yoon Ye-rim), the operator of “Pinch” 3D design software, participated in the event.
In Japan, Ryuichi Nishida of B Dash Ventures, Masaru Ikeda of The Bridge, Dong Lee of Creww, and Akiko Katagiri of HYBRID SQUAD participated as investment mentors.
After the IR presentation, a discussion session was held to share ideas for exchange and cooperation between Korean and Japanese startup companies. Jung Hyun-wook, CEO of beSUCCESS, a startup media company, moderated the discussion, and the participants discussed the strategies needed to enter the Japanese market, Japan’s investment trends, and the Japanese business environment.
Kang Sung-cheon, President of GBSA, said, “I hope that the startup companies aiming to enter the Japanese market received a lot of help from this online networking event, which was held for the third time after our previous events with Silicon Valley and Singapore. GBSA will continue to network with various overseas experts and promote joint projects to help many startups in Pangyo enter the global market.
GBSA publishes and distributes English press release articles and videos for startup companies to help them enter the global market, and any company located in Pangyo Techno Vally Number1 and Number2 can receive this PR support.
