Wemix Foundation has signed a strategic partnership with Chainlink Labs to build a system for the new omni-chain network “unagi (Unbound Networking & Accelerating Growth Initiative)”.
Chainlink Labs is the developer of ‘Chainlink’, a Web3-type oracle platform. Chainlink is a platform that provides an Oracle Network Solution, a transparent and reliable on- and off-chain data connectivity technology.
Based on this partnership, the two companies will apply ‘CCIP (Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol)’, a cross-chain messaging protocol developed by Chainlink Labs, to ‘unagi (x)’, the core engine of unagi. They plan to use CCIP to build a decentralized omni-chain messaging protocol that securely supports transactions between on- and off-chains.
Through this agreement, Chainlink Labs becomes the first partner of COURT (Certified Organizations for Unagi Round Table). COURT is a community that collaboratively researches and develops technologies to create a sustainable omni-chain environment.
Wemix Foundation plans to work with Unagi to build a huge Web3 ecosystem by connecting different blockchains, and to find global partners to pursue technological innovation together and recruit them as members of COURT.
Sergey Nazarov, CEO of Chainlink Labs, said, “We are happy to contribute to the popularization of Web3 games with Wemade. He continued, “With Chainlink’s CCIP, we expect unagi (x) to break new ground in the blockchain field and build a system that allows previously disconnected blockchain networks to work together.”
Chang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, said, “This partnership is based on our shared vision for technological innovation and the future of blockchain.” He also said, “Based on Chainlink’s CCIP, we plan to further expand the user-friendly Web3 gaming environment by connecting different blockchains and ensuring interoperability between games and on-chain applications.” Detailed information about unagi, the omni-chain network, is available on its official website (https://unagi.io/).
