Line released ‘Line Pay-Visa Credit Card’ in Japan

Line Pay, which is a subsidiary of Line Corporation (Line) announced that it will release its Line Pay-Visa credit card in Japan in cooperation with Visa, the global leader in payment solutions. It seems that it is focusing more on targeting Japanese markets than on South Korea.

Line Pay-Visa credit card co-branded credit cards are scheduled to be released at the end of this year, and Line Pay plans to accelerate the process of implementing a cashless society that is accelerating in Japan. Domestic service is not being prepared. Line Pay-Visa credit cards are available all over Japan and stores affiliated with the Visa all over the world. In particular, users of the card can easily pay through line-pay within mobile without a physical card by registering the card in their line-pay account. In addition, unlike the existing Line Pay prepaid card, the credit card can be paid through a bank account linked to the credit card without charge in advance of the account balance in the Line Pay wallet.
