SK Broadband announced on the 21st that its Kids Service, Living Fairy Tale, won the ‘Best of Best award’ at the 2016 Pin Up Design Awards. The TV home screen “UI 5.0” and the new remote control “Voistick” were also selected as the “Finalist” and “Pin Up Best 100” respectively. The Pin Up Design Awards, hosted by the Korea Industrial Design Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, is considered one of the top three design awards in Korea.
The “TV, Living Fairy Tale” service was praised for providing children with an interest and high level of immersion with an easy-to-use UI/UX tailored to the child’s eye level. “UI 5.0” received high marks for displaying customized content services and information by Btv (tv service by SKB) customers in a sophisticated design. Voice-recognition remote control called ‘Voistick’ that is expected to be released in first half of next year is characterized by curved design in the form of triangular stand.
