Samsung has announced its upcoming Unpacked event scheduled for July 26, where the company is expected to unveil new foldable devices. The event, titled “Join the Flip Side,” will mark the first Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in Seoul, Samsung’s home turf.

The unveiling will take place at Coex, a renowned convention and exhibition center in Gangnam-gu, southern Seoul, and will be live-streamed on Samsung’s website, newsroom, and official YouTube channel.

This event comes as Samsung continues to develop its foldable smartphone series, with Samsung users eagerly anticipating the introduction of new devices. While specific details about the products to be announced have not been disclosed yet, Samsung has previously expressed its intention to launch new foldable devices at this event.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed the devices to be unveiled at the event, industry sources suggest that the company will showcase the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, along with the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets.

Samsung has led the foldable phone market since introducing the Galaxy Z Fold in 2019. However, the company now faces increased competition from rivals like Google and Motorola, who have also entered the foldable phone market. The success of the next Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold models will be crucial for Samsung to maintain its leadership position in this evolving market.

Some insights predict that the new Galaxy Z Flip will feature a larger external display than its predecessors. At the same time, the Galaxy Z Fold is expected to introduce a new waterdrop-shaped hinge design to minimize creasing on the main screen.

The timing of the release is also noteworthy, as Samsung is breaking from its tradition of launching foldable phones in late August. With the potential announcement at the end of this month, sales may commence several weeks or even longer after the unveiling.

“A new cultural driver is coming. Come along on our journey to discover an all-new Galaxy as we showcase our latest technologies designed to open possibilities and transform lives. It’s going to make you want to join the flip side,” the company’s official release stated.
