Samsung Electronics Co., one of the globally leading gaming monitor industry players, unveiled the upgraded 2021 Odyssey monitor lineup. The South Korean tech company released the new products to various international markets, presenting outstanding picture quality and ultramodern design to gamers with diverse skill sets.

After releasing curved gaming monitors in 2010, Samsung currently offers a wide Odyssey monitor range with a flatscreen setup. These new monitors measure from 24 to 28 inches. Besides providing hyper-realistic picture quality, the company’s latest lineup offers intuitive usability and personalized ergonomics.

These new features also give gaming enthusiasts access to pinpoint accuracy, true-to-life colors, and ultra-fast response speed in their PCs, console gaming devices, and more. Additionally, the expanded Odyssey enables gamers to select the best monitor that meets their specific preferences and gaming needs.

Giving Gamers Around the World Versatile Options

Furthermore, the global gaming industry has been rapidly expanding recently. Following this development, Samsung’s Odyssey lineup briefly became a popular choice among gamers looking for outstanding all-inclusive, high-performing gaming monitors.

“Gaming connects the entire world through shared experiences, bringing together people of all backgrounds for adventures into new realities,” said Hyesung Ha, Senior VP of Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business. Separately, Samsung unveiled the upgraded Smart Monitor lineup in May, reinforcing its commitment to improving customers’ daily lives.

Ha also said that the expanded Odyssey gaming monitor lineup would enhance players’ experiences, especially in competing in tournaments or exploring various great games. Moreover, the lineup comes with the Odyssey G7, G5, and G3.

New Odyssey Gaming Monitors

The 28-inch Odyssey G7 features a wide Ultra-High Definition (UHD) panel equipped with a 178-degree viewing angle and an HDR400. Besides merging next-generation performance with immersive visuals, G7 delivers real-world colors with higher contrast, better depth, and improved life-like details.

The new G7 provides maximum resolution and response rates to PCs thanks to its HDMI 2.1 compatibility. G7 also offers its capabilities to next-gen gaming consoles with 4K 120 Hz support, delivering high-quality, consistent, and immersive play. Additionally, the G7 sports a 1ms2 response time and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Meanwhile, Samsung optimized the 27-inch Odyssey G5 for players seeking to upgrade their PCs and next-gen gaming consoles. G5 is the first-ever Odyssey model to include a Quad High Definition (QHD) panel and offer a 165Hz refresh rate.

The G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium also improve G5’s competitive edge, delivering a stutter-free performance. What’s more, G5 includes a height-adjustable stand, enabling gamers to customize the monitor’s ergonomic setup and providing better comfort.

Lastly, the Odyssey G3 comes in 27 inches and 24 inches. Samsung designed G3 for players seeking accessible game setups, providing a fast 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms4 response time.

The two G3 models also deliver speedy on-screen performance and fast-paced action with their near-instant pixel change-response. Moreover, G3 generates smooth visuals and uninterrupted gameplay, allowing users to play games how the content creators intended.
