Samsung Electronics has officially launched the One UI 7 beta program, offering a preview of its advanced AI-powered mobile interface. This latest iteration integrates leading AI agents and multimodal features to deliver a highly intuitive and personalized user experience.

Starting December 5, Galaxy S24 users in six countries, including the US, UK, South Korea, Germany, India, and Poland, can experience the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta. Although the full release is planned for early 2025, the beta offers an early preview of Samsung’s upcoming mobile AI advancements.

One UI 7 introduces new AI-driven features to improve productivity and simplify everyday tasks. Notable among these are advanced writing assist tools that allow users to select, edit, and format text without switching between apps. These AI-powered tools can summarize content, check for spelling and grammar errors, and automatically organize notes into bullet points, enhancing the writing process across various use cases.

The update also brings upgraded call features, including automatic recording conversation transcription. This function supports 20 languages, providing users with a convenient way to refer to past discussions without the need for manual note-taking. These enhancements will streamline communication and make multitasking easier for users, particularly those who frequently handle calls during their daily routines.

One UI 7 also revamps the overall design of the interface, focusing on simplicity and efficiency. A new notification system introduces the Now Bar, which provides quick access to relevant activities like Interpreter, Music, Recording, and Stopwatch directly from the lock screen.

The feature minimizes the need to unlock the device and offers users a more seamless interaction with their phone. The streamlined design is built on principles of boldness and clarity, ensuring a clean, user-friendly experience.

Additionally, the camera interface has been redesigned for better usability. Camera controls, buttons, and modes are now more intuitively organized, making accessing advanced settings and taking better photos and videos easier. The viewfinder has also been enhanced to provide a clearer preview of images and videos, ensuring users can capture their moments with greater precision and ease.

One UI 7 not only enhances overall usability but also introduces a more streamlined manual settings layout for Pro and Pro video modes. This update makes it simpler for users to concentrate on capturing high-quality photos and videos. Additionally, a new zoom control in Pro video mode offers the ability to adjust the zoom speed, enabling smoother transitions for a more polished video recording experience.

The One UI 7 update will begin rolling out in early 2025, starting with the latest Galaxy S series devices. It will introduce even more AI-powered features, including advanced on-device AI capabilities.

The beta program, which began on December 5, is currently available to Galaxy S24 users in select regions, including the US, UK, South Korea, Germany, India, and Poland. As part of Samsung’s extended OS upgrade policy, the update will gradually be rolled out to more Galaxy devices. Users can register for the beta through the Samsung Members app.
