Samsung Introduces Next-Gen 110-Inch MicroLED TV

Samsung Electronics announced on Thursday the launch and pre-sale of its next-generation 110-inch Samsung MicroLED television in South Korea. In a press release, Samsung introduced the ultra-large screen creating a completely new category of home entertainment.

“Samsung MicroLED is going to redefine what premium at-home experiences mean for consumers around the world.”

 In 2018, Samsung introduced its first MicroLED display technology, known as “The Wall,” to businesses only, providing 100-inch screens.

Innovative Engineering Delivers Next-Level Picture Quality

Samsung’s Latest MicroLED TV uses micrometer-sized LED lights to eliminate the backlight and color filters usually found in conventional displays. The engineering innovation allows the display to self-illuminate, producing its light and color from its pixel structures.

Over 8 million pixels and 4K resolution expresses 100 percent of the DCI and Adobe RGB color range images taken with high-end DSLR cameras. The technology results in stunning, lifelike colors and accurate brightness.

MicroLEDs consist of inorganic materials, which lasts longer and more durable, allowing a lifespan of over 100,000 hours.

Immersive Design and Premium Audio

The 110-inch MicroLED boasts 99.99 percent screen-to-body ratio with the black matrix and bezel removed completely from the display. This feature leaves only the screen, providing customers with the most immersive content experience.

The display allows consumers to view four sources of content simultaneously using the Multi View feature. It also allows viewers to connect multiple external devices to enjoy various apps on one screen.

The MicroLED’s embedded Majestic Sound System delivers a dynamic and immersive audio experience. Its breathtaking 5.1 channel sound with no external speaker transforms any room into a luxurious home theater.

The 110’’ MicroLED will be available globally in the first quarter of next year following the unveiling in Korea.
