Samsung adds Google AI assistant on Galaxy Watch 4

Google’s voice command service ‘Google Assistant’ function can now be used on Samsung Electronics’ smartwatch ‘Galaxy Watch 4’. Samsung Electronics announced on May 24th that it would support the ‘Google Assistant’ function on the Galaxy Watch 4.

Users can enjoy a more advanced voice command service experience. Google Assistant, Google’s voice assistant service, provides fast, natural voice conversations. Until now, Galaxy Watch 4 could only use Samsung Electronics’ Bixby, but users can access all of Google Assistant starting today.

Previously last year, Samsung Electronics introduced Wear OS, an integrated platform for wearable devices, with Google to realize a richer connection experience between Android devices. Galaxy Watch 4 users can download ‘YouTube Music’ and ‘Google Maps’ from ‘Google Play’. Following the Google Assistant, Samsung Electronics plans to continue adding Google’s apps and services to expand the Galaxy Watch experience.
