LG Uplus has unveiled “AI Universe,” a new initiative designed to make artificial intelligence (AI) more accessible to the public in South Korea. The platform is being developed in collaboration with both domestic and international AI companies and organizations to combine their expertise and create synergy, thereby enhancing public understanding of AI.
The launch, formalized through a business agreement signed on July 29 at a multi-cultural space in Gangnam, Seoul, also involved representatives from the Gwasilyeon AI Future Forum and around ten AI partners. Through AI Universe, LG Uplus plans to promote AI literacy by offering educational content and hands-on experience programs, supporting broader adoption of AI services in the rapidly expanding domestic market.
The business agreement marked the launch of AI Universe, bringing together ten AI companies in collaboration with the Gwasilyeon AI Future Forum and Yudokpick AI at a multi-cultural space in Seoul. The partner organizations include KineMaster, Flang, Canva Korea, Dong-A Science, Liner, Mobledi, Pelo, Turing, Comentor, and Artificial Society.
AI Universe is designed to offer both online and offline programs that allow the public to experience AI directly. The initiative combines the expertise and technologies of participating organizations to conduct joint campaigns, educational content, and experiential events aimed at promoting AI literacy.
LG Uplus will play a key role in content planning, production, and platform management, with a particular focus on accessibility through its subscription-based AI service, Yudokpick AI. Launched last month, the service enables users to switch between different AI offerings each month, select the services they prefer, and enjoy discounted rates.
Since its launch, Yudokpick AI has attracted around 20,000 subscribers within a month. The most popular services among users have been Liner, known for its high search accuracy, and Canva, which supports graphic and content design tasks.
The Gwasilyeon AI Future Forum will leverage its AI expertise to host experiential programs such as lectures and talk concerts, while partner companies will use their AI services to run joint campaigns. The goal is to demonstrate practical applications of AI in daily life and build trust and familiarity with the technology among the public.
Looking ahead, AI Universe plans to continue expanding the number of participating companies and broadening its programming to engage more users. By offering hands-on experiences and educational content, the platform aims to accelerate the adoption of AI services across South Korea.
“In line with the growth of the domestic AI market, we have collaborated with various organizations to make AI accessible and tangible for everyone,” said Jeong Hye-yoon, head of LG Uplus’ Marketing Group. “We will continue to grow AI Universe and integrate AI services into people’s daily lives.”
