On January 14, 2025, LG Electronics unveiled its new range of air conditioners for the upcoming year, featuring the LG Whisen Objet Collection Tower I and the LG Whisen Objet Collection View I Pro. These models are set to redefine home cooling with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Designed to offer enhanced cooling performance and superior air quality, the AI-powered air conditioners aim to provide a seamless, intelligent experience for users.

The new units come equipped with several advanced AI features, including AI voice recognition, AI wind management, AI home monitoring, and an AI-driven heat exchanger cleaning function. These technologies work together to ensure an optimal indoor environment, adjusting to user needs while maintaining clean air. LG’s innovation brings personalized comfort and efficient air management, positioning these air conditioners as a significant step forward in smart home solutions.

The new LG Whisen Objet Collection air conditioners introduce several advanced AI functions, offering an intuitive, user-friendly experience. The standout feature is the AI voice recognition system powered by LG’s AI agent, LG Purron. This system goes beyond simple commands by understanding the user’s intentions. For example, if a user says, “It’s too cold,” the AI responds, “Shall I raise the temperature?” and adjusts the airflow direction when asked to stop the wind. This advanced voice interaction enables seamless, hands-free control, enhancing convenience.

Another key feature is the AI wind control, which uses radar sensors to track the user’s location in real-time. The system learns the user’s preferred temperature and adjusts the cooling accordingly, ensuring that the environment remains comfortable and personalized. The AI wind function not only improves efficiency but also enhances the overall cooling experience, making it more responsive to the user’s needs.

The AI home monitoring function adds a layer of security by detecting movement and sending notifications through the LG ThinQ app. This feature allows users to keep track of their home environment, even when they are away, providing an added sense of security. With real-time alerts, users are always informed, creating a smarter, more connected home.

LG has also upgraded its air conditioner’s self-cleaning capabilities with the AI heat exchanger cleaning function. By analyzing data from humidity and temperature sensors, the system detects contamination levels in the heat exchanger and automatically triggers a cleaning process.

This ensures that the unit remains hygienic without requiring disassembly. The self-cleaning feature reaches areas that are difficult to access manually, offering a more thorough and efficient cleaning process, thereby enhancing the overall maintenance of the air conditioner.

Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics’ ES Business Division, highlighted the company’s focus on innovation, stating, “With smarter AI, we will continuously provide differentiated customer experiences by interacting with customers and offering customized air solutions for a comfortable daily life.”

This commitment to personalized, AI-driven technology is also reflected in the LG ThinQ app’s ‘Smart Schedule’ feature, which allows users to set custom images or messages to appear on the air conditioner’s display on specific dates.

The new air conditioners also offer a subscription service that includes comprehensive care from professionals. Subscribers will receive regular maintenance, including product condition checks, fan cleaning, filter replacements, and free repairs during the subscription period.

This service ensures the air conditioners remain in optimal condition, further enhancing the convenience and value of LG’s AI-powered products. With these features, LG continues to push the boundaries of smart home technology, offering consumers not only advanced cooling but also an elevated, customized experience that integrates seamlessly into their daily lives.
