LG Electronics Inc. announced that it would be starting the 2021 LG Soundbar lineup’s rollout, offering new models with improved audio and other premium features. According to the South Korean electronics company, its latest soundbar lineup delivers high-grade audio experiences, smooth connectivity, and smart functions. Aside from these properties, the 2021 Soundbar lineup also sports a modern design that fittingly complements LG’s existing TV releases.
High-Resolution Audio and AI Features
For this year’s models, LG designed the soundbars to optimize the LG TVs’ AI Sound Pro function. With the soundbar, the TV plays audio through the Sound Mode Share, giving users access to advanced audio processing power. Currently, LG’s soundbars support similar sound modes with its newest TV releases, enabling users to shift between the two effortlessly.
Moreover, LG’s latest soundbars are compatible with virtual AI-powered voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Apple’s Siri, and Google Assistant. Thanks to these compatibility functions, users could easily manage their devices. Since the soundbars also support Apple’s AirPlay 2, users could directly stream music and other content from their Apple devices. As for its performance, the 2021 LG Soundbar lineup integrated the Meridian Audio tuning technology to deliver high-quality listening experiences. The soundbars also introduced a new Meridian Horizon innovation that provides multichannel audio content for increased immersion.
Additionally, LG equipped the latest soundbars with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X solutions to provide 3D audio. LG also installed Dolby Vision technologies to the latest models, guaranteeing excellent sound and display quality. Aside from supporting high-resolution audio, the soundbars also feature LG’s AI Room Calibration, which uses spatial perception technology to offer specific audio settings depending on users’ needs. Using the LG AI Sound Pro, users can also adjust sounds and frequencies to accommodate different content types.
Supporting Sustainability
In addition to the AI features, LG adopted more eco-friendly product developments, demonstrating its extensive sustainability commitment. In particular, LG used recycled materials for the soundbar cases, such as recycled bottles. LG’s soundbars are also the industry’s first audio products to receive an SGS Eco Product Certification. This certification ensures that a product and its entire life cycle meet necessary environmental criteria. Furthermore, LG used recycled pulp and less plastic for the soundbar’s packaging, minimizing air pollutants and hazardous chemical emissions.
LG would start the 2021 LG Soundbar lineup’s rollout this month, releasing models such as SP11RA, SP8YA, SP7Y, and SPD7Y. LG would release more models later on. In February, LG Electronics released its 2021 TV lineup, which features OLED, QNED Mini LED, and NanoCell TVs. As LG stated, its 2021 lineup aims to provide immersive home entertainment experiences to its customers by supporting lag-free viewing.
