LG CNS and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have teamed up to expand the use of cloud-based generative AI services in South Korea. They launched the AWS·LG CNS Gen AI Launch Center at AWS Korea’s head office in Seoul. The center, staffed by AI and cloud specialists from both companies, is designed to support businesses—particularly those with financial or technical limitations—in integrating generative AI solutions more effectively.

The initiative focuses on building 100 enterprise-level generative AI services, including automated marketing content, image generation, AI-powered chatbots, and data management tools for strategic insights. LG CNS has expanded its AI transformation projects beyond manufacturing to include the banking, insurance, and securities sectors. Additionally, the company strengthened its AI capabilities last year by earning AWS generative AI competency certifications.

The collaboration between LG CNS and AWS is focused on helping companies overcome technological and financial barriers in adopting AI.

A key feature of this initiative is LG CNS’s Gen AI Quick Delivery system, which provides industry-specific AI solutions. This system enables businesses to plan, implement, and test AI services quickly with minimal investment. Additionally, LG CNS is utilizing its proprietary Generative AI DILLI platform to further streamline AI adoption by offering pre-built use cases and optimized AI tools.

AWS and LG CNS are integrating their AI expertise and cloud resources to improve service efficiency. With Amazon Bedrock, AWS’s fully managed AI service, businesses can deploy a variety of advanced foundation models, including Claude, Llama, Mistral AI, and Amazon Nova. This flexibility enables companies to choose the most suitable AI model for their specific requirements, enhancing both scalability and performance.

With extensive expertise in AI deployment, LG CNS tailors AI-driven solutions to meet the needs of diverse industries, including retail, manufacturing, and finance. The company supports various business functions, such as human resources, customer service, and product development. Its AWS Generative AI Competency certification further reinforces its capability to deliver enterprise-ready AI services efficiently.

The partnership aims to optimize AI service development through faster data collection, processing, and analysis by integrating AWS’s high-performance computing infrastructure with LG CNS’s AI technologies. This approach ensures that companies can seamlessly embed generative AI into their existing operations, accelerating digital transformation across multiple industries.

LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-kyun emphasized that the partnership with AWS aims to make generative AI more accessible to businesses across South Korea. He stated that by working together, the companies will reduce the barriers to AI adoption, enabling more enterprises to integrate advanced AI solutions into their operations.

LG CNS and AWS plan to expand their gen AI initiatives beyond South Korea, targeting the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) markets. Both companies will actively explore new business opportunities in these regions, leveraging their combined expertise to drive AI adoption on a larger scale.
