LG and Ricoh Unite to Offer Digital Solutions for Modern Workplaces

LG Electronics has partnered with Ricoh, a global leader in office solutions, to enhance its presence in the business-to-business (B2B) sector. Announced on Thursday, the collaboration will drive digital transformation for enterprises, a key growth area for the Korean home appliance giant.

The partnership will also help expand both firms’ B2B offerings globally, leveraging Ricoh’s communication services and LG’s advanced display technologies. Ricoh’s expertise in office solutions will be integrated with LG Electronics’ corporate display products and B2B solutions, creating a comprehensive suite of offerings for businesses.

The partnership aims to deliver enhanced digital solutions that cater to the growing needs of modern workplaces by combining Ricoh’s strength in imaging and IT services with LG’s advanced display technologies.

Ricoh, known for its multifunction printers and wide range of IT services, has a strong global presence, operating in over 200 countries. The company’s extensive experience in workflow automation, consulting, and video conferencing services will complement LG’s business strategy, allowing both firms to deliver more complete office solutions.

Paik Ki-mun, head of LG’s Information Display Business Division, highlighted the importance of these collaborations, stating that LG aims to strengthen its position as a reliable partner by offering tailored solutions for enterprises. With this partnership, both companies plan to conduct joint sales and marketing efforts while exploring new opportunities to expand their B2B portfolios globally.

Takahiro Irisa, Ricoh’s President of Digital Services, expressed confidence in the partnership, emphasizing that integrating LG’s next-generation displays with Ricoh’s communication services would lead to innovative office solutions. Both companies are committed to leveraging their respective strengths to provide businesses with advanced tools to improve efficiency and workplace experiences.

The partnership aligns with LG Electronics’ broader strategy to transform its business portfolio. Announced earlier this August, LG aims to boost its B2B revenue share to 45% by 2030. This strategic shift focuses on moving beyond mere product supply to delivering high-value, customized solutions tailored to specific customer needs.

Market research firm Market Research Future projects growth in the digital workplace sector. The market is expected to expand from $33.7 billion in 2022 to $90.5 billion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 15%. This market provides a fertile ground for LG and Ricoh to introduce integrated solutions.

With its vision for the Workplace Experience domain, Ricoh seeks to enhance global workplace services amid evolving hybrid work environments. The company aims to support creativity and efficiency through its comprehensive suite of solutions, which includes hardware, software, and managed services, thereby supporting organizational growth and innovation.
