KT Corp. to Onboard 1000 Employees for Tech and Media Expansion

KT Corp., South Korea’s telecommunications conglomerate, has revealed its plan to onboard approximately 1,000 new employees this year, primarily focusing on expanding its workforce in the information technology and media content sectors. This strategic hiring initiative aims to drive digital innovation in the tech industry.

This recruitment initiative, scheduled from February 15 to March 3, targets experienced professionals in critical domains such as artificial intelligence, information technology, cloud computing, digital media, new business development, and consulting. With this, the company aims to cultivate a future-ready talent pool capable of spearheading transformative initiatives and fueling the company’s growth trajectory in the digital age.

In collaboration with its subsidiaries and affiliates, including KT DS, KT Cloud Co., and KT Studiogenie Co., KT is actively seeking specialized talent across various fields within the information technology and media sectors. Job seekers can access detailed information and job descriptions on the KT recruitment website, with the option to submit applications online.

The company’s recruitment efforts extend beyond merely filling positions; it seeks visionaries capable of navigating the complex digital landscape amidst rapid technological advancements.

Recognizing the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future, KT has taken proactive steps to establish AI master’s courses at leading South Korean universities, including Hanyang University, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and Pohang University of Science and Technology.

KT’s recruitment strategy plans to attract executive-level talent with the expertise and foresight to drive the company towards its ambitious objectives. By prioritizing critical areas such as AI, cloud computing, and digital media, KT is laying the groundwork for a digital infrastructure capable of meeting the evolving needs of its clientele.

KT’s recruitment drive is designed to prioritize hiring experienced professionals who can make immediate contributions to the company’s digital transformation initiatives. These roles mandate a minimum of three years of relevant work experience or a doctoral degree.

Furthermore, KT plans to sustain its recruitment efforts throughout the year, aiming to swiftly onboard skilled professionals capable of addressing evolving business requirements. “We are committed to recruiting individuals with high expertise and competence in the field of digital innovation,” the company affirmed.
