Jasmine Technology Solutions Public Company Limited (JTS) and KT Corporation (KT) have officially partnered to develop and introduce a Generative AI platform in Southeast Asia. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday.

The platform is set to offer a diverse array of services, including infrastructure services (Infrastructure as a Service or IAAS), model services (Model as a Service or MAAS), platform services (Platform as a Service or PAAS), and a range of software services (Software as a Service or SAAS).

With the joint endeavor, JTS and KT will work together to chart the course for this new venture. The initial launch of this platform is scheduled for Thailand in 2024, with plans to expand its services to various countries across Southeast Asia soon.

In their strategic collaboration, JTS, a renowned tech firm, will leverage its existing business capabilities with the immense potential and expertise of JasTel Network Company Limited (JasTel), a subsidiary specializing in connectivity solutions.

JasTel, a key player serving numerous telecom companies (Telcos) across Southeast Asia, will join forces with KT Corporation (KT) to explore new avenues of business growth. JTS also plans to infuse AI technology into various workflow processes of its parent company, JAS, and other entities within the JASMINE group.

Moreover, JTS envisions a transformation of the Jasmine Building International Tower into an AI-enabled facility. According to experts, this collaboration between JTS, JasTel, and KT holds great promise for delivering innovative solutions and pushing the boundaries of technology in the Southeast Asian region.

JTS targets to garner a substantial subscriber base of 10 million for its upcoming venture within the first five years of operation. The company’s revenue goal is equally ambitious, with a target of reaching USD 1 billion annually.

Mr. Sang Do Lee, Managing Director of JTS, expressed the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership between JTS and KT is an important milestone on our journey to becoming a leading force in the AI sector. Combining KT’s expertise and JasTel’s established track record in the regional context gives us the confidence to deliver distinctive AI solutions in Southeast Asia.”

Mr. Jeho Song, Vice President of KT, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with JTS, highlighting their shared vision for AI’s future and readiness to push innovation. Together, they aim to establish new benchmarks for the AI industry within this region.
