KT has officially disclosed its exclusive partnership with Samsung Electronics to release the ‘Galaxy Jump 3,’ a mid-to-low-priced smartphone priced around 400,000 won. The smartphone will be part of the broader government plan to make communication more budget-friendly for consumers.
The smartphone will be available for purchase at KT stores nationwide and through the official online retail platform, KT Shop.
The Galaxy Jump 3 is the successor to Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Jump 2, which was introduced the previous year. KT’s nationwide distribution network and online retail presence ensure that the ‘Galaxy Jump 3’ will be readily available to a wide audience.
The strategic release of the Galaxy Jump 3 is part of a broader plan to address the challenges faced by the public due to economic difficulties, offering an affordable yet feature-rich smartphone solution.
With a 6.6-inch large FHD+ 120Hz display, a 50-megapixel rear triple camera, a 13-megapixel front camera, and a 5,000mAh large capacity battery supporting 25W charging, the Galaxy Jump 3 offers a combination of affordability and advanced features. It is available in two colors: black and white.
KT has outlined various cost-effective measures for users interested in the Galaxy Jump 3. Under the Basic Choice plan, which currently stands at 90,000 won per month, subscribers can leverage a premium combination discount (25%) and an optional contract discount (25%), reducing the monthly service cost to approximately 40,000 won.
Additionally, those opting to use an affiliate card during the Galaxy Jump 3 purchase can benefit from discounts totaling up to 624,000 won over two years. KT is sweetening the deal for early adopters, offering a discount coupon for Galaxy Buds FE earphones and 50,000 Naver Pay points to users acquiring the Galaxy Jump 3 before the month’s end.
The Galaxy Jump 3, a 5G smartphone with advanced features, is tailor-made for high-capacity games and video playback. It incorporates the Snapdragon 8 series (SM8350), a chipset typically found in flagship devices, ensuring optimal performance.
KT anticipates that the Galaxy Jump 3’s launch will expand the array of mid-to-low-priced terminals available to users, aligning with diverse consumption patterns.
Kim Byeong-gyun, head of KT’s device business division (executive director), said, “We are happy to release KT’s own ‘Galaxy Jump 3’, which has returned with upgraded essential functions at a reasonable price.” He added, “With the launch of Galaxy Jump 3, the options for mid- to low-priced terminals will be expanded, and user options will be expanded.” “They will be able to use terminals that suit their consumption patterns,” he said.
