Samsung has officially confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in Paris on July 10th. At this highly anticipated event, the South Korean tech giant will unveil its latest foldable flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold6, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip6 and a range of new accessories.
Samsung has hinted at the arrival of the following Galaxy Z series phones at the upcoming Unpacked event, though it hasn’t specifically named the Galaxy Z Fold6. Despite this, customers can register for pre-orders and receive a $50 gift credit toward their purchase by simply providing their name and email address. Additional savings are available once the pre-order is placed, making it an attractive proposition for early adopters.
The pricing of the Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to reflect the high cost of foldable technology. While previous models have seen a slight reduction in price since the original $1,980 launch, significant price drops are unlikely. Industry sources suggest that the new model may start at $1,899, with the 512GB and 1TB versions priced at $2,019 and $2,259, respectively.
In addition to the foldable phones, Samsung will introduce three major peripherals at the event: the Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Buds3, and the new Galaxy Ring fitness and health tracker.
The Galaxy Ring, previously teased at January’s Galaxy Unpacked, remains shrouded in mystery regarding its features and software capabilities. These launches, along with the anticipated foldable devices, are Samsung’s effort to push to innovate in the competitive tech landscape.
Concerns about the device’s thickness and lack of differentiation from the standard Z Fold6 have led to delays. Instead, a more affordable model, potentially named the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, could be introduced alongside the Galaxy S25 next year. This delay suggests Samsung is focusing on perfecting the foldable’s design and functionality before releasing a more cost-effective version.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 might also feature design enhancements such as titanium sides and angular corners, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These changes would make the device look more premium and increase its durability compared to previous models that used aluminum. However, these improvements could also contribute to a higher price point for the new foldable.
