Chowis' mySkin F.A.I.N. named in CES 2023 Innovation Award

The use of AI and Big Data is widening across sectors, and the beauty and skincare market is one of those. With AI-driven skincare solutions, Korea-based beauty tech product manufacturing company Chowis Co. has revolutionized the beauty and cosmetic market. Chowis’ AI full-face diagnosis solution, “MySkin F.A.I.N.,” has been named in the “CES 2023 Innovation Award” in the “Digital Health” category for its excellent technology.

The CES Innovation Award is given to products with superior technology and innovation through a pre-evaluation of entries ahead of the CES event, the world’s largest IT and home appliances exhibition held in Las Vegas every January.

Chowis’ smart AI solutions deliver a comprehensive picture to help consumers make better choices for skin/hair products from the comfort of home to retail, salons, labs and clinical. mySkin F.A.I.N is a small, portable device that can be used via a clip-on mechanism on a mobile phone or tablet. It works like a ‘Selfie full facial AI Skin Solution.’

With a full face image capture, the solution can provide overall facial analysis information using PPL(normal lights), Cross Polarized light, and UV light. It gives dynamic skin results that can only be measured with specific light conditions, unlike phone-based or contact measurements. mySkin F.A.I.N provides 10 skin analysis parameters, including Moisture, Sebum, Oiliness, Pores, Wrinkle, Pigmentation, Hyper, Pigmentation, Redness, Porphyrin, Dullness, etc.

The portable and lightweight features make it convenient to travel around for self-diagnosis and professional services. The device automatically syncs with the mySkin F.A.I.N. app for home use or Dermofain for Professional use, available on iOS and Android. Before winning the CES Innovation Awards, Chowis was awarded Good Design (GD) by the Department of Trade, Industry, and Energy for reducing plastic consumption by 85%, being less than half the size of a smartphone and boasting overwhelming versatility.

Talking about Chowis and CES 2023 Innovation Award, Choi Won Suk, CEO, said: “The past few years have brought a lot of changes in the health and beauty industry. Chowis adapts and innovates to address these changing needs, and we believe that our solutions, especially, Myskin FAIN matches the present and future needs in skin analysis. This award serves as another milestone and we will continue to work diligently to achieve our corporate mission of providing the best products and services to our customers around the world.”
