KT is striving to make way into the international AI hotel market with its Genie Cube Platform.

KT’s AI hotel service, Giga Genie Hotel, and MVI’s IPTV services combine to create the Genie Cube platform.

Guests can control lighting and IPTVs through the platform as well as heating and air conditioning with touch screen displays or voice commands. The service can also help guests to request amenities to use in their rooms.

According to KT, the Genie Cube platform enables hotel management to customize their systems following situations of each hotel, such as more enhance security for sensitive personal information.

KT and MVI will install the AI hotel platform in the Philippines in November on a trial basis for MVI’s clients. They will continue to carry out joint marketing activities for more MVI’s clients to experience the service, which will expand in Singapore, Dubai, and Guam.

Kim Young-woo said, “After about a year of development, we are now able to showcase the Genie Cube AI hotel platform on the global market.” The senior vice president who heads the Global Business Development Unit at KT added, “We expect KT’s AI hotel service to expand into the global market, beginning with the installation of the service in Cebu, the Philippines.”

Next-generation hotels and casinos will benefit from the Genie Cube as MVI CEO Anke Gill noted that it would become an essential platform for these businesses.

KT built an AI-powered Novotel Ambassador Hotel and Residence in July last year at the site of its former office in Euljrio, Jung-gu. Since then, the AI hotel service was offered by the company to more hotels in South Korea, including the Busan’s Baymond Hotel.
