Kakao ventures said in 15th, that they have invested in Social Bean, manufacturer of household goods.
Social Bean wrapped up a private series A round with KB investment Union, Platinum Technology Investment and Busan United Holdings.
SocialBean is a startup that manufactures and sells household products focusing on infants and pets. Currently, SocialBean running the popular infant dish brand Firgi, and plans to release a premium baby product brand “LittleCloud” along with a household brand “Normalife” within this year.
Social Bean’s flagship product “Whale Plate” is an eco-friendly dish that emphasizes safety with a fun design. It was released in November of 2017, and sold up to 7,000 plates per day through viral consumer reviews. The following year, sales tripled.
