SPC Group, MOU with the City of Seoul

SPC Group, one of the oldest confectionery and baking conglomerates in Korea, announced on the 20th that it held an agreement ceremony for ‘joint cooperation of employment and self-supporting projects for disabled people’ with the Seoul Metropolitan Government along with the foundation of Purme.

Happy Bakery & Café, where disabled employees are directly responsible for producing and serving products, is a new type of social contribution program for public-private cooperation, local governments and welfare agencies.

“We hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to create social integration between [disabled and the larger community]. We will actively participate in what the city government can do as an exemplary case of the public sector, businesses, and non-profit foundations working together to contribute to society.”
