Samsung Electronics has officially introduced its Galaxy S25 series, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. These AI-driven smartphones are designed to elevate the user experience. Revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event, the new models feature Samsung’s first multimodal AI assistant, powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform designed specifically for Galaxy. Operating on Android 15 with One UI 7, the devices will benefit from seven years of OS and security updates.

With AI integration as its core focus, Samsung aims to enhance users’ interactions with smartphones. The company has also opened the Galaxy Studio in Seoul, allowing visitors to experience the new AI-driven features firsthand.

The new Galaxy S25 series from Samsung represents a major leap in mobile AI, blending hardware with a suite of advanced AI-powered features. Some of the standout innovations include:

Key Features:

One UI 7 & Multimodal AI: The S25 series operates on Samsung’s latest One UI 7 interface, powered by multimodal AI. This upgrade helps the phone understand natural language, context, and user intent, enabling more intuitive and personalized interactions.

Voice-Activated Task Execution: The S25 series introduces a powerful voice command feature that allows users to complete complex tasks involving multiple apps with a single voice command. For example, users can check the sports schedule of their favorite team and automatically add it to their calendar with one simple phrase.

Circle to Search Upgrade: Circle to Search, which debuted with the Galaxy S24, has been improved to recognize images, text, and sounds. This feature allows users to search for audio content being played on their device, such as identifying specific sounds in a video.

Real-Time Translation and Call Summaries: The Real-Time Interpreter now supports 20 languages, making communication across language barriers easier. Additionally, the Call Transcript and Call Summary feature automatically transcribe phone calls and summarize key points.

Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy: Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S25 series with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which significantly improves performance compared to previous models. The new chip enhances AI tasks, CPU, GPU, and NPU performance by 40%, 37%, and 30%, respectively.

Privacy and Security: The S25 emphasizes privacy with Samsung’s Knox Vault, ensuring all personalized data is analyzed securely on the device. Additionally, the phone features post-quantum cryptography, future-proofing user data against quantum computing threats.

Camera and Photography Enhancements: The Galaxy S25 Ultra, with its upgraded 50MP ultrawide camera, brings enhanced photography capabilities, including 10-bit HDR for richer color expression and improved low-light video recording.

Enhanced Gaming and Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is also equipped with advanced gaming features, including Vulkan Engine and Ray Tracing, offering smoother and more realistic gameplay.

User Experience & AI Integration: The S25 series introduces a unified AI that integrates Samsung’s and Google’s AI technologies. Now, users can activate AI features seamlessly across various apps, including Google, Samsung, WhatsApp, and Spotify. Features like “Now Brief” and “Now Bar” provide personalized suggestions and information based on user data and app usage patterns. The Writing Assistant is another notable feature that offers real-time transcription, summarization, and grammar checking, making writing tasks smoother.

Pricing & Availability: The Galaxy S25 series is set for global release on February 7, with preorders available in Korea from January 24 to February 3. The S25 Ultra is priced between 1.7 million won ($1,184) and 2.25 million won, while the standard S25 starts at 1.16 million won.

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 series, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra. These devices feature the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and One UI 7 based on Android 15, with up to seven years of OS and security updates.

Samsung is also expanding customer support with Samsung Care+, which covers accidental damage, repairs, and replacements. For users keen on staying up to date with the latest technology, the New Galaxy Club subscription model will offer an easy way to upgrade devices. Samsung’s Galaxy AI Classes will also provide hands-on learning opportunities, both in-person and online, allowing users to fully understand the AI capabilities of their new devices.
