LG Electronics on Tuesday opened its first three-dimensional (3D) Virtual Exhibition hall for IFA 2020, sharing its vision with the theme “Experience LG Like Never before.”
The virtual exhibit opens ahead of the IFA’s grand opening on September 3.
The appliance maker said that it chose to hold a virtual exhibition to participate in the event amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Previously occupying Hall 18 of the Messe Berlin building, LG aims to provide a realistic experience of the actual event hall.
Co-produced with Unity Technologies Korea, LG designed the exhibition for people to explore and interact with the exhibits freely. Visitors could easily access the virtual hall via PC or mobile, discovering the company’s latest innovations.
Upon entering the exhibit, LG’s signature installation, “OLED New Wave,” welcomes guests with a dramatic demonstration of flexible OLED displays. LG’s online virtual exhibit supports many languages, such as Korean, German, and English.
Enjoy a Curated Virtual Tour
Visitors could enjoy a curated virtual tour led by a helpful virtual guide. They could also view a tutorial explaining how to navigate the booths using a Mini Map. Once in a booth, guests could select a product, showing its technical specification and features. The 3D exhibit also allows visitors to try out LG’s products.
LG’s exhibit offers a range of booths, including the Home Cinema Zone, where they could experience LG’s outstanding OLED TVs, and the Gaming zone, where they could immerse themselves in the ideal gaming environment. They could also enjoy sporting content in the virtual Sports bar and enjoy different OLED products from Wallpaper, Gallery to Rollable in the inviting Lifestyle Zone.
Seven dedicated zones exhibit a comprehensive range of smart home appliances as visitors take a tour of the “LG ThinQ @ Home” section. Meanwhile, the “Reimagine Your Life @ Home with LG” zones revolve around three main themes of Health, Hygiene, and Convenience.
Guests could visit LG’s microsite http://exhibition.lg.com to experience the company’s IFA 2020 virtual exhibition. They could also download LG’s Virtual Studio Interactive mobile app for iOS or Android devices.
