Goorm Co., Ltd. (CEO Sung-tae Ryu), a developer of cloud education solutions, has launched the cloud-based learning management system “Krampoline IDE” in cooperation with Kakao (CEO Hong Eun-taek).
Krampoline IDE is designed to distribute and help users practice Kubernetes online by providing cloud training. The distribution and practice of Kubernetes can be done based on Goorm IDE, which is Goorm’s own cloud-based application development environment. Instead of having to set up a new development environment in an existing local environment and start practicing, users can efficiently practice and move forward with their projects by using a preset development environment online.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor is promoting ESG support projects for companies, and as part of the initiative, Kakao is carrying out projects such as “Kakao Tech Campus” and “K-Digital Training”. As part of the company’s projects, Goorm’s Krampoline IDE is officially used in “Kakao Cloud School,” a cloud training platform, and “Cloudthon in Jeju,” Goorm’s representative hackathon program. Kakao has made the system open for anyone to easily access and use, and the company plans to provide cloud resources and technical support to train IT talent suitable for the digital environment and help young users grow into IT talent.
Gong Yong-jun, who helms Kakao’s service platform department, shed light on the initiative, stating, “By facilitating direct utilization of our cloud resources, we’re ensuring students garner the hands-on experience that’s paramount in today’s IT landscape.”
Ryu Sung-tae, CEO of Goorm, said, “Thanks to this project, we have been able to significantly reduce the time and cost of building a Kubernetes practice environment. We will continue to strive to make cloud training more convenient for users.”
Based in the bustling Pangyo Techno Valley, Seongnam, Goorm wears the badge of an edu-tech innovator with pride. Under the banner, “Everyone can become a developer”, Goorm offers a plethora of services, including Goorm EDU, an AI & SW education platform, Goorm DEVTH, a cutting-edge coding test platform, and of course, Goorm IDE. As of June 2023, a medley of corporate titans ranging from Kakao Enterprise, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Mobis, to Amore Pacific have onboarded Goorm’s offerings, fortifying their AI and software prowess.
